All-New 2011 Audi A8 Offers Wi-Fi Connectivity

The Audi A8 has always been a sophisticated car, but the new model will reportedly be the first car ever to offer an available factory-installed WLAN hotspot for Wi-Fi access. This will give passengers with iPads and laptops the ability to effortlessly surf the Web and  search for used cars In Bremerton en route to their destination.

Audi’s 2011 A8 will feature rooftop mounted antenna and an UMTS module to provide a stable connection. Audi has also noted that features such in-car Wi-Fi will be just the beginning as more iPhone-like software is expected to be utilized on future products.

Other technology on board the 2011 Audi A8 includes a second-generation MMI control interface, the integration of Google Earth, and a dramatic LED lighting system.

Powering the 2011 Audi A8 is a 372 horsepower 4.2-liter FSI direct-injection V8 engine mated to an eight speed tiptronic automatic transmission making it very popular with the German automotive enthusiasts of Newport Beach. Audi says with this setup, the large A8 will be able to launch from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.6 seconds.
